For anyone who fancies a trip to the Stockport Sports village on Saturday, here are the details:

Hope you will make the short trip to Stockport and watch the lads before another big game next Tuesday against Ashton Athletic!

Bringing this back to the top...

Anyone making the short trip to Stockport for this one?

Only about 10 of us braved the cold winds of Manchester for this one...

1874 played well, in spells, great cross by Wellstead set up Ryan Stewart for a goal on his birthday.

Then Stockport had 10 minutes on top, and scored a free header, new centre half partnership could of done a bit better but will let them off!

Then the moment of magic, about 50 yards from goal, Matty Ward picked up the ball, turned the midfielder, dribbled past 3 others and then when he was just outside the 18 yard box, drilled a shot low past the keeper. Class.

Decent workout for the lads

That was some solo goal by Wardy, just a shame there weren't more people there to see it. Good workout for the players, especially when Stockport Town aren't a bad side themselves and did cause us problems throughout the game. Also a mention for Stewart for getting a goal on his birthday.

Onwards to Tuesday! :scarf:
