In the aftermath of the latest JRFC farcical rumour that 1874 won't last passed xmas, I thought it would be a good chance to discuss the name of OUR stadium.....

How about...
The Drill Field Memorial Stadium

Really? Who posted that rumour then?:D

DN apparently or is that allegedly?

How do they come up with these rumours? I was told by a Congleton fan that they barely had 20 in their cup game on Tuesday night, how many did we take there again?

Good try lads but we're not going anywhere!

If there were only 20 of them at Congleton (not suggesting that figure is wrong) then that's a very healthy support from the Bears for a CSC tie.

Congleton have been getting 140/150ish at home recently because they are on top form, plus its a big game for them to play in (Semi Final) So therefore the 20 figure would make sense...

I always thought that it would be good to have a nod back to the Drill Field, something like The New Drill Field or what Tony mentioned. But as good as it is to cherish that history we have to remember that we are now making our own.

As we long as we don't follow in the footsteps of the Estonian national team who play at the imaginatively named A.Le Coq Arena, I'll be happy as long as we have a ground to call our own

There are a lot of different names that would be good for our shiny new stadium but there are a few deciding facts, I thought maybe something about the green army. Also if we have same sponsors maybe Britannia Park (stadium already taken) or then we could have something about our towns salt history.

would also be nice to recognise Mr Rogers in being brave enough to suggest the inital vote on forming what is now this wonderful club......... just thinking about Tony's previous, we could name the club shop after him, where you would be 'encouraged' to buy more, and there never be any change available!! :)

Cracking idea Simon :D

The fans ground gets my vote just ahead of 'The New' Drill Field
